Our seed sharing program is currently on hiatus; we will resume seed distributions in 2022.
The Sicangu Food Sovereignty Initiative is excited to be able to offer seeds to our community members to help families and communities take control over the food they eat! Seeds are available to individuals or programs located on the Rosebud Reservation, or tribal members who live within 30 miles of reservation boundaries. There is no charge to receive seeds.
If this is your first year gardening or you are not interested in saving seeds, please use the Hybrid Seed Request Form to request seeds from the hybrid catalogues. If you are an experienced gardener & are interested in saving seeds to help grow our seed bank & future community seed libraries, please request seeds via the Open Pollinated Request Form.
If you have any questions about our seed distribution program, or if you are interested in coordinating seed distribution for your community or program, please contact FSI Community Empowerment coordinator Franky Young at alan.young@sicangucorp.com.
Check out our planting guides to help you plan your garden! From starting seeds, to soil health & composting, when to transplant, and saving seeds, we've got you covered! Questions about topics not covered in the guides? Message us on Facebook!
